Notice of the Glenmarie Cove Residents and Owners Association (GCROA) Annual General Meeting 2015

The GCROA  AGM will take place on Saturday 26th March  2016, 3.00 PM sharp, at The Heron Clubhouse

Registration from 2.30 pm

All GCD Owners and residents are invited to attend; to discuss the very important issue of transfer of responsibility for Security and Maintenance Services from GCD to GCROA

Meeting Requirement

According to the Society Rules, at least one-half of the voting membership of the Society, or the voting members present should represent twice the total number of committee members, whichever is the lesser, must be present at a general meeting for its proceedings to be valid and to constitute a quorum.

So please attend to ensure that we have a quorum of members present.

Residents who are currently not members of GCROA may attend the AGM and will be eligible to vote if proposed rule changes are adopted.

GCROA AGM 2016 Agenda

(i)          To receive and adopt the minutes of the previous annual general meeting;

(ii)         To receive and adopt the Committee’s report on the working of the Society during the previous year;

(iii)        To receive and adopt the Treasurers’ report and the audited accounts of the Society for the previous year

(iv)        To discuss the takeover of Security, Maintenance and other Services by Residents.

The Committee will present proposed rule changes to enable all owners/residents to become CGROA members, with no joining fee and no annual fee.  Also, a vote to agree that owners/residents wish to maintain GCD as a gated community will be arranged. A 51% majority is required.

(v)         To transact any other matter for which 7 days notice in writing has been given.

    It seems a rather strange to me that since we had the AGM last Saturday where important issues were discussed such as GCROA managing the security and maintenance of GC, there are no postings or discussions about this so far on the official GCROA website. Am I the only one to find this strange?
