Musings

P2 Jetty

Signage for P2 Jetty under construction. Not quite finished yet as there will probably be some language to warn people about the dangers of using the jetty (don’t blame us if you fall into the river, blah blah).

No name yet but please relax as what you see below is just imaginary. Perhaps they will finish the base with a nice rectangular block instead of a blob of cement like an after thought.

Since we are at the jetty, users must respect the properties of others so do not step onto or vandalize the boats belonging to other owners.

Here is a useful reminder:

Barbed wire may  replace these lines if people do not listen:

And do not try to force entry or you could end up like this:

Have a nice Sunday.

  1. hahaha….good one! Thanks for the warning 😉

  2. Mr. Balachandran (GCD) confirms that that JKR had indicated last week that they will build the speed humps.

I had intimated earlier in the blog that to expect the humps to be completed last week is a tall order even for a top rated developer and GCD is probably not within smelling distance of the top 10. Thus the decision by JKR to undertake the construction as a matter of urgency is a good one because this is more a ‘bread and butter’ issue for JKR than it is for a developer who has to wonder where the humps should be placed, distance in between humps, how high the hump should be and whether the lines over the hump should run from left to right or vice versa. They’ll be tied up in knots for weeks.

If works do not begin by Saturday, another letter will be delivered to JKR and copied to the Minister for Public Works, etc., to continue the push.

I am currently waiting for a collective action to be initiated by GCROA whether to withhold payment for the 4th Qtr’s maintenance fees. Our fearless leader (Johann lah) seems to be shy over this matter. Over to you Johann. Can we have a collective decision?

As the developer has failed to install the residents’ TAG SYSTEM for P2 jetty, every Tom,Dick or Harry is fishing there, not a single P2 Board walk street lights are working for more than one year now, there are also no proper guard house along the river side.
We will just have to improvise.

    • So how to pay the latest charges and feel happy about it, huh?

      • yfyin says:

No maintenance service, no payment loh!.
So far, my experience with DRB or GCD is , they are very arrogant , the letters i posted to them was so far not replied.
If they don’t respect their customers, i guess we must treat them the same way.

That said, isn’t work on the speedbump at GC entrance supposed to have started by now?

      • I was told by Guna last week that JKR will construct the humps. I have asked Bala for confirmation and I haven’t got the answer so please treat this as hearsay for now. Yin has emailed JKR on the delay but has not received a reply. We must thank tenacious people like Yin who never fails to deliver his part. He walks the talk.

I saw a surveyor with his trusted tripod on the stretch of road where the humps should be located and that was what prompted me to ask Guna for more information. I think it should not be too long before work commences.
